This year WIST is beginning a new year long program aimed at our year 8, 9 and 10 students. The WILLIAM PIKE CHALLENGE AWARD is a program from New Zealand that involves students completing three core modules: 5 outdoor activities, 20 hours of community service and 20 hours of a new sport or hobby.
The award will increase students’ confidence, resilience and organisation. This means that in the future they have the skills needed to become better leaders and more rounded individuals. The students interested will be meeting this Tuesday (27 Sept 2022) lunchtime to further discuss the program and take a letter home to parents. It is a really exciting challenge for our students and will mean they get to see more of our beautiful country, Uzbekistan, and become better engaged with local community initiatives.
