Autumn/Halloween Poetry Writing Competition

What an exciting way to start the new half term. Well done to our primary cohort students and staff team for the incredibly imaginative outfits and costumes!

The highlight of our morning was announcing the winners of our Autumn/Halloween Poetry writing competition. It was a tough decision, as we received many high quality written pieces. The teachers are very proud of every of all of our entriants as they all showcased great independent and creative writing skills.

After much deliberation the three final winners were:

  1. Parizoda Yr 6MSB
  2. Fazilat Yr 6MSA
  3. Vadim Yr 6MSB

The students shared a few words of what inspired them with their writing.

Parizoda
“I decided to write this poem as we were decorating our classroom. I used the decorations as a story line.”

Fazilat
“I thought about Autumn colours, some spooky characters and midnight!”

Vadim
“ I had a favorite toy spider, so I wrote this poem about him!”

Well done to all of primary for a fantastic start to our second half term together. We look forward to what we will learn and achieve together over the next few weeks.
