Little Movers Make Giant Strides

The first unit of learning that we explored in our Nursery class this year was called, “Little Movers Make Giant Strides.”
This unit from the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) involves the children leading their own learning through physical activity. Our children were interested in their bodies and enjoyed action songs which developed their body awareness. They also loved our playground and had fun developing their gross motor muscles in a variety of ways whilst experimenting with our playground equipment.

Finally, their fine motor muscles grew stronger each day while they learnt control and coordination in using numerous materials and equipment to make creative crafts which depicted their learning and interests. We cannot wait to see where our next learning journey takes us!
