Model United Nations Club

For this academic year at Westminster International School in Tashkent, students of Year 12 conducted an introductory presentation for opening of a new club, called “MUN”.

MUN which stands for Model United Nations, is a simulation of international conferences held by United Nations, where people representing countries all over the world meet in one place to arrive at the best course of action to face global problems.

Now, these conferences are going to be held at WIST! Students will have an amazing opportunity to hone their leadership and teamwork skills while they work together to devise effective solutions for global issues. Moreover, they will be able to master their researching skills, as it is crucial to find trustworthy information of workable solutions, effective decisions, history and geopolitical state of the country they are representing. When the time comes to present their ideas, students will learn how to engage with the public, defend their arguments, carry out diplomatic decisions and debate with others. On top of all the benefits that this club will provide you with – participation in MUN conferences will significantly boost the student’s CV and university application!

Come and join our club to further develop your skills and find new friends!
