Principal’s Message

Dear Parents,

Congratulations to our Under 15 boys who made a super start to the TIS invitational basketball tournament yesterday by winning against the hosts 24-13. Our Under 15 and Under 18 girls, along with our Under 15 girls teams embark on their games today and over the rest of the weekend.  Good luck to all teams and enjoy the competition, camaraderie and the new friendships that always result from events such as these.

ASAs are up and running throughout the school; thank you to parents that support their children in signing up for these amazing opportunities. We will now be looking at adding some external (paid) clubs to our programme; further details will be provided in the next couple of weeks.

I am delighted to announce that we will be celebrating Navruz as a school community next Friday 18th March. There will be a variety of games, demonstrations, performances and food to enjoy.  Families are invited from 3:00 pm but we require you to have your ID badge to gain entry:  if you have yet to request and pick up your badge, please contact our admin team on: info@wistedu.com or 71 210-22-22.

We will be running two crucial information evenings for parents with children in Year 9 and Year 11.  These will focus on IGCSE and AS/A Level options and you can see the dates opposite; Mr. Steven Ellis will be writing to you with further details.

We will also be inviting parents to Sports Day, which will take place on the 30th and 31st March for our pre and primary school students and on the 1st April for our secondary school students.  Further details will be provided next week.

Kind regards,

Brian Platts
