Yr 7 Explores The Titanic

As part of the Year 7 English course, students have been researching information about one of the greatest maritime tragedies in history – The Titanic.  The English Department welcomed online guest speaker Ms Krista Jordan from The Maritime Museum in Halifax, Canada, to present The Titanic and answer questions about this significant event. During the presentation Ms. Jordan highlighted important events of that period including the sinking of The Titanic and held a Question & Answer session for students to explore their curiosity and talk more about the event with a Canadian historian. This was a motivating opportunity to appreciate history as it connects with English and The Titanic story.
